Official Euro Millions lottery website

Euro Millions lottery, known as Euro Lotto, accumulates the share of the players from nine participating countries and therefore it offers very high lotto prize pools – the basic not rolled over ‘jackpot’ is €15 million. Such a rollover has never happened in many lotteries history, while in Euro Millions Lotto it is a guaranteed accumulation value, which may increase if nobody matches 5+2 during a Friday draw. Considering European Union expansion, in a long-term, it is going to increase the number of Euro Millions lottery member countries. An increase in Euro Lotto players number is bound to increase the Euro Millions lottery prize pool, although they’re already extraordinarily high.

Should there be no first prize winner the first degree prize pool (5+2) is rolled over every week. During a draw of 3rd February 2006 after 11 consecutive rollovers the Euro Millions Lotto jackpot was 125,194,303 Pound Sterling - 183 millions euro. Three players (two from France and one from Portugal) shared that amount which is the greatest European lotto winning in history.

Euro Millions Lotto winnings structure:

The odds of hitting the jackpot in Euro Millions lottery are 1 in 76 million, however a probability of winning any prize is 1 in 24. In Euro Millions lottery there are 12 prize levels – from the lowest 2+1 or 1+2 through any possible combination up to the highest which is  5+2. 16 percent of the prize pool is passed on to the ‘Booster Fund’ which may be used to increase the accumulation of Euro Lottery. The amounts of the winnings at various levels depends on the overall number of placed bets and are proportional to the number of matching bets for every level of wins. If the jackpot was not won then the pool rolls over to the following Euro Millions Lottery draw. The Jackpot may be rolled over for 12 consecutive weeks (there may be up to 11 rollovers). If during 11 Euro Millions Lottery rollovers no one hits the 5+2 jackpot then it is divided among the lower level winners - 5+1.

The greatest winnings in Euro Millions Lottery history:

On 9 February 2007 a player from Belgium won on the Euro Lottery 100 million Euro. He bought his lottery ticket in a Tienen kiosk. It is the greatest lotto win in Belgium and the second largest individual winning in Euro Millions Lottery history.

On 17 November 2006 after 11 consecutive rollovers the Euro Millions Lottery jackpot reached the colossal amount of 183 million Euro. Because no bet in the 12th draw contained all drawn numbers (5+2) the jackpot was divided between 20 players who accurately selected 5+1. The value of each Euro Millions Lottery bet was €9.6 million. The amount constituted 5% of the accumulated Euro Lotto sum plus 5+1 prize value. 7 out of 20 matching bets were placed in the UK, 4 in France, 3 in Portugal and Spain each, 2 in Ireland and 1 in Belgium.

On 31 March 2006 after 6 consecutive rollovers the main prize of €75 million in Euro Millions lottery was won by a player from Belgium. It is the second largest lotto win in Belgium and third greatest individual win in Euro Millions Lottery history.

On 3 February 2006 as a result of 11 lotto rollovers the Euro Million lottery jackpot once more reached an enormous amount of €180 million. The Euro Millions lottery jackpot shared between three lucky people – two from France and one from Portugal, €60 million each.

On 31 July 2005 as the result of nine rollovers the Euro Millions Lottery jackpot amounted to €115 million. The lucky ticket was purchased in Garryowen, Limerick, in Ireland and the winner was Dolores McNamara, a mother of six.
